New Item Line Contest

I am trying to think of a new line of items to put in my shop. There are so many things that are available that I can't decide on my own what I want to do. So I'm asking you! I have a couple of ideas and I'd like you to vote on the one you would be most likely to buy. Everyone who enters this contest will be placed in a drawing and the winner will receive the first of the winning entry!
And always feel free to check out my shop at www.jenspens.etsy.com

Here are the examples of the items I'd like to create.

The first is a ceiling fan chain pull.

This is just an example and will be different from the design I will make.

The next option are Key Chain Pens. They are a key chain that is a pen. Always have a pen handy!

And the final option are Soft Tip Wooden or Acrylic Darts! This would be a new and exciting idea for me! I love to throw darts and making them would be fun! Here is an example.

Just leave a comment on which one you vote for and I will put your name in the drawing and announce the winner next Wednesday September 2. If you are the winner, you will be contacted by e-mail. Thank you for your help and good luck!!

Beautiful day!!

What a beautiful day we have here in Ohio today!! A perfect day to have off and spend with my daughter!! Thinking of taking her to the park and tire her out for a while. She loves the park! Then while she is napping, I'll finally be able to get back into my shop and make some pens and other creations! It is never too early to start Christmas shopping, (which I have started this past week!), so I figure I will get some new items in my shop. I am thinking of starting a new line of items. There is always new items coming out that I can create into something creative. I am thinking of having a contest to see which item I should create for the holiday season and could use some input. I'm thinking the winner will receive the first creation in the line as the grand prize. So check back soon for the contest!

I've been really bad about updating my blog. So let me tell you what I have been up to! I have started making custom desk clocks! It's a new addition to my shop to give shoppers other choices in gift giving. You can see a general picture in the featured section in my shop. These can be made to order and can be make in various colors, stains, and types of wood. Prices will depend on the type of wood used. Please let me know if you have any ideas you would like to see! I have not been making too many new creations lately. Summer has kept me really busy along with keeping up with my 2 year old! I hope to get back into my workshop and bring you new creations very soon! Keep checking back and feel free to make comments and leave feedback! It's always appreciated!

Winter is finally over and the leaves are starting to peak out from their buds. It is finally getting warm which means I can get back in my shop and start creating again!! YAY!!! I've felt a little lost by not turning anything. I made a few attempts during the coldest months trying to do some custom orders which proved to be quite frustrating! So since it's warm, I've been hitting etsy full force!! I have a new clearance section in my shop to make room for my new creations! I have lowered all my prices as well! I've been in an awesome BNR for some time now and have gotten to know a lot of great people. I wanted to feature a couple of great shops that participate! Feel free to join us in fun and sales!! http://www.etsy.com/forums_thread.php?thread_id=6128443&page=113

The first I'd like to feature is www.Babesh.etsy.com Babesh has some very awesome and unique hair bows and blankets along with some other items. She has quite a range in tastes from Skull bows to Princess blankets. Here are some of my favorite items from her shop!

The next shop I want to feature is a great shop with jewelry and destash supplies. She can be found and www.kimsbeads.etsy.com She has some amazing jewelry listed and supplies for those who want to make their own! Her semi-precious stones are just beautiful! Here are some of the items she offers!

So there you have it! Come check out these great shops with tons of great gift ideas for Mother's day! And feel free to join us in out BNR!!!

Free Gift!!!

So I've done really well in my shop this week and I want to keep it going! I have made 18 sales in my shop since June (which I think is really great considering how much time I have to put into it at the moment!). I would love to have 20 sales by the end of the week and 30 sales by the end of the month. To help me with that, I am giving away a free gift with my 20th and 30 sale!! And the best part is, you get to choose the gift! You have the choice of anything in my shop of equal value of your purchase!! Just let me know what you would like and it's yours! This also applies to custom orders so send me a message if you don't see something you like. I can send you an example of the types and colors of the blanks that I use and you can choose what you would like! So come on in and shop around! And tell everyone you know!!!

After The Holidays

Newest listing!!

The holidays have come and gone yet again and seemingly much faster as the years pass. For those sellers that count on the holidays boosting sales, I hope it did just that for you this year! For me, that didn't seem to be the case, but there is always next year right?!?

I have added a new product to my shop www.jenspens.etsy.com that seems to be doing really well! I am creating a secret compartment key chain that makes a great toothpick holder for those, (like my hubby! :) ) who can't go without a toothpick 24/7. It also is a great way to keep an extra $10 or $20 dollar bill for emergencies. As with all my items, they can be custom made and I do have examples of all the types and colors of blanks I can get for them.

I am very interested in hearing how the holiday season went for other sellers. Please feel free to comment and share any ideas that might help newbies and veterans to selling alike!!

My new shop!

So I've decided to expand a little bit and try out Artfire.com . So far it is a great site to be a part of!! For those of you who are not familiar with Artfire, it is a great site to buy and sell handmade items. For sellers, it is free to list up to 10 items at a time. If you become a paid member, you can list and unlimited number of items with no listing fees and from what I understand, no commision fees either!! It also have many other great ways to track your site traffic when you become a paid member. Leave me a comment if you would like more info on Artfire! It's a great way for someone small to start out!! So, come check it out and feel free to leave some comments!! http://jenspens.artfire.com
By the way, I still have my Etsy shop as well! http://jenspens.etsy.com

I planning on picking up my featured seller posts and it will be from both Etsy and Artfire, so check back soon to see if it's you!!
